Live Fish Feed
CHECK OUT OUR LIVE FISH FEED
Striped bass have been coming up the Kennebunk River since long before Kennebunkport became a tourist destination. Over the years, the pilings beneath The Clam Shack have turned into a very popular striper hang out. To satisfy his own fascination with fish, owner Steve Kingston mounted a camera to the pilings under The Shack, so he could watch the stripers swim by from inside the seafood market. But this wasn’t enough—he wanted to share his stripers with the world. After a great deal of trial, error, and waterproof sealant, the striper cam live feed was born!
The discerning striper knows that diners often drop bites off the rail of our deck. The flip side of that accident is the thrill of seeing a big fish chase after a fallen French fry. Now, folks can gather on the deck for the incoming tide to see the stripers swim into view, or log-on to catch a glimpse when they aren’t in Dock Square, Kennebunkport. Our Striper Cam can be streamed anytime, but the action is the hours when the tide is rising, late spring through early fall.
